JAMMU: Congress on Thursday sought registration of FIR against those BJP leaders including BJP MP behind violation of MCC in Sunderbani area as a truck loaded with solar lights was caught by the people and seized by the police, few days back.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that truck loaded with solar lights was allegedly dispatched by local BJP MP and was caught on spot while on way to unload in Bhalwal area of Sunderbani and the local police was called to seize the same.
He questioned why formal FIR was not yet lodged and culprits booked even after four days. The Election Commission should take serious note of such violations and initiate appropriate legal action as per law, he demanded.
