REASI: Volleyball tournament was inaugurated in memory of Police Martrys on Tuesday at Sports Stadium Reasi under Civic Action Programme.SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir, inaugurated the tournament in presence of Addl. SP Reasi Surjeet Kumar, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed, SHO Reasi Insp. Sumit Sharma and prominent and respectable citizens of Reasi.Besides youth of Reasi and surrounding area participated with great zeal and zest in the ongoing Volleyball tournament. Speaking on the occasion Rashmi Wazir highlighted the bravery, courage and valour of the Martyrs and paid rich tribute to the Martyred Police Personnel. She said that our Martyrs without caring for their lives fought till their last breath for peace of J&K and added that they gave supreme sacrifices of their lives while protecting and safeguarding the Nation and Jammu and Kashmir Police is proud of our Jawans who are contributing day in and day out in the maintenance of peace and harmony in the UT of J&K.J&K Police force is committed to provide platform to the youths to excels in the field of sports. She added that Reasi Police will organize more sports events in near future to give youths of Reasi District a platform to excel in different sports especially in rural areas. She also requested youth of Reasi town and its adjoining areas to stay away from drugs and channelize your energy in a positive way. Total four teams participating in the tournament and final match won by Talwara team. The participants players of winner and runner up teams were rewarded suitably alongwith Certificates, momentos and cash prizes during closing ceremony.
