STATE TIMES NEWSSAMBA: “Health Department had converted Ghagwal’s Accidental Hospital to Corona Hospital at the behest of the district administration, due to which the population of about 40,000 of Ghagwal sub-division had to be deprived of health facilities”, this was disclosed by the BDC Chairman of Ghagwal block, Vijay Tagotra during a press conference organised with the Sarpanchs of the block. While addressing the media, He said that every month gross salary of Rs 75 lakhs is released for the staff of accidental hospital Ghagwal, which includes a physician doctor, an eye specialist doctor, an ENT specialist doctor, Pediatrician, Dentist, and Paramedical staff besides that before corona epidemic, Deputy Commissioner Samba gave Rs 80 lakh rupees to start operation theater of Ghagwal’s Trauma Care Center out of which hospital administration used Rs 60 lakh for purchasing medical equipments, but due to the changed situation during the epidemic, no work could be completed. At present, all the doctors who get their salary in Ghagwal are attached to other hospitals of the district. BDC chairman warned the Director, Health Department that the attached doctors should be re-appointed in Ghagwal within one week, otherwise he would sit on hunger strike with the Sarpanchs of the block.
