Jammu:The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has produced chargesheet against accused persons namely Bashir Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Mohammad Wani, resident of Kalashpora Babdamb, Srinagar the then MPW (Halqa Konibal Pampore) Rural Development Department Block Pampore (now retired) and Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Ghulam Mohamad Dar, resident of Lalpora Chatlam Pampore (Job Card Holder) for embezzlement of funds.As per an official, charge-sheet was presented against accused for commission of offences under Sections 5 (1) (d), 5(1)c read with 5 (2), J&K PC Act Svt, 2006, and Section 120-B, 420, 468, 471 of RPC in case FIR No. 45/2015 of Police Station ACB Srinagar in Anti Corruption Court Pulwama. He further said that case pertains to Rural Development Department, which, for upliftment of Rural Areas under MGNREGA, was constructing/executing different developmental works. During investigation, it was surfaced that an amount of Rs. 8,39,027 has been fraudulently drawn from official account of Panchayat Secretary bearing account No. 18177 of J&K Bank Pampore on forged labour advices and same was credited into the bank accounts of non-genuine Job Card Holders, who were either relatives or neighbours of accused facilitator namely Abdul Rashid Dar. The amount was later withdrawn by the accused Abdul Rashid Dar from accounts of these job card holders.The official further told that accused person namely Bashir Ahmad Wani under a well-knit conspiracy hatched with Abdul Rashid Dar prepared forged labour advice amounting to Rs. 30,000 dated April 24, 2013, Rs. 5,45,000/- dated May 12, 2013, Rs. 1,57,000/- dated April 09, 2013, Rs. 29,737/- dated January 02, 2013 and Rs. 77,290 dated January 02, 2013. On the basis of these labour advices, he managed to draw an amount of Rs. 8,39,027/- from bank accounts of job card holders who were either relatives or neighbours of accused facilitator namely Abdul Rashid Dar. Both the accused were lodged in Sub-jail Pulwama for judicial custody till next date of hearing, he said, adding that next date of hearing has been fixed on April 1, 2021.
