Randhawa visits Mini Stadium Parade, meets soccer players



JAMMU: Former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa on Tuesday visited the Mini Stadium Parade Ground, here.
The Mini Stadium Parade is only football ground into the entire old Jammu City and is the hub for all soccer lovers but it was turned into a pool due to ill-planned restoration work and soil filling.
The new life of this ground has been given by Ex-MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta whose keen interest has helped in reviving the stadium proving him to be a true sports and enthusiast unlike those who only do lip service.
Ex-MLA has put in all his resources including a whopping contribution from his constituency development fund (CDF) in upgrading this loan and dedicated soccer facility availability in the city positive approach of MLA Rajesh Gupta has turned the dreams of hundreds of local soccer players into reality for which football team and walker association facilitate him and honored him for his off and on contribution of Rs 30 lakh from his own pocket.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa interacted with players of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Football Club, Rakesh Khanna, who is the President of the Club. Khanna introduced Randhawa with the members of club including Ashutosh Sharma (General Secretary), Prem Singh (chief coach), Daman (Treasure), Gurpreet Singh, Chandan Singh Chauhan, Gaurav Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Darshan Singh, Danish Khanna Kirti and (all other executive members). Randhawa enquired about the problems being faced by the players and said no stone turned and left for overcoming their problems.
