STATE TIMES NEWSJAMMU: The PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, a 115 years old organisation, with more than 1,30,000 direct and indirect members all over India, has appointed Rakesh Wazir, former Chairman PHDCCI Jammu Region Chapter & President Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra as its Mentor for Jammu Region Chapter. The appointment was made by the National President Sanjay Aggarwal.Pertinent to mention here that recently Sanjay Aggarwal, Pradeep Multani and Saket Dalmia have taken over as President, Sr. Vice President & Vice President of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry respectively during Annual General Meeting held at New Delhi.Wazir, with businesses in Hospitality, Retail and Oil sector, is Managing Director of Katra Mata Vaishno Devi Hotels & Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. and other companies and remained associated with PHD Chamber for many years in different capacities including Co-Chairman and then Chairman for Jammu Region Chapter.While speaking on the occasion, Wazir thanked the National President and whole PHDCCI team for bestowing him with responsibility.He further said that he is feeling honoured and is thankful towards senior leadership for assigning the new responsibility as Mentor.“Chamber has got a long history and has contributed a lot in nation building.Every effort will be made to strengthen the organisation further particularly in Jammu region besides acting as real pressure group and a bridge between Industry people and business community on one hand and Governments, both Union Territory and Center, on the other,” he asserted.
