Rahul’s half-century helps All Stars to win against Friends Club

AKHNOOR: Rahul Sharma’s quick-fire half century knock helped All Stars Cricket Club Jourian to defeat Friends Cricket Club Akhnoor by seven wickets in the Shaheed Lieut Thakur Dass Memorial Cricket Tournament being organised by Akhnoor Sports Club under the overall supervision S.S Langeh, General Secretary District Jammu JKCA at Government Higher Secondary School Akhnoor, on Monday.
Batting first, Friends Cricket Club Akhnoor was bundled out at 116 runs in 20 overs. Amit Singh Vinod was the top scorer with 25 runs followed by Sunil Govil and Shubham Singh, who contributed 21 and 15 runs respectively.
For All Stars Club, Akash grabbed four wickets while Sawan and Rahul Sharma claimed two each and Raghuraj Singh and Robbin got one wicket each.
In reply, All Stars Cricket Club Jourian chased the target making 122 runs for the loss of THREE wickets in 16 overs, courtesy brilliant knock of 54-run off 26 balls by Rahul Sharma. Robbin and Mannu remained not out at 26 and 19 runs respectively.
For Friends Cricket Club, Shubham Singh grabbed two wickets while Vipin got one. For his match winning inning, Rahul Sharma was declared Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by Dayal Singh and Vikas Bali as umpires and Sushil Gupta & Raman Sharma as scorers.
