JAMMU: To highlight and discuss a number of issues being faced by private schools, a meeting of Private School Association (PSA) Block Marh, Jammu was convened by Lal Chand Gandotra, President PSA, District Rural, Jammu under the chairmanship of Kamal Gupta, President JKPSA.During the meeting, which was attended by a number of members, the participants highlighted various demands and problems faced by private schools including timely counter slip of School Leaving Certificate, financial support for providing salary to teachers, simplifying approval of fee by fee fixation committee, extension of affiliation/ recognition of private school during COVID turmoil without inspection etc.On the occasion, the association also elected Block Committee for Marh, which included Tarsem Sharma-President, Dalbir Singh-Vice President, Arun Aberdar-General Secretary, Ashok Sharma- Treasure, Shinder Singh-Organiser, Ashok Pandey-Media Secretary and Anita Ganjoo-Joint Secretary.Speaking on the occasion, Kamal Gupta congratulated newly elected members of Marh Block and advised them to work for smooth working of Association. He further told all members of Association that highlighted issues and demands have already been taken up with concerned authorities.Others who spoke on the occasion included Sham Ved, Vijay Sharma, Harbhajan Singh, Tarsem Sharma, Shinder Singh, Ashok Sharma, Dalbir Singh, Kanjeet Singh, Amit Sharma and Ashok Pandey. The meeting culminated with formal vote of thanks by Lal Chand Gandira, President Rural District Jammu.
