JAMMU: Prof Madan Mohan Jha, a distinguished scholar of Dev-vani Sanskrit, will be presented ‘Kailakh Sanskrit Rattan Puraskar -2021’. It was stated by Mahant Rohit Shastri, Principal, Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avem Vedic Sansthan (SKJAVS) Trust in a press statement issued here on Thursday.
Shastri further said that in year 2017, Trust started presenting ‘Kailakh Sanskrit Rattan Puraskar’ every year to promote Dev-vani Sanskrit. “This year, the Trust has decided to present award to Prof Madan Mohan Jha, a renowned Sanskrit scholar for his outstanding work in the field of Sanskrit. Prof Jha is basically from Bihar and presently working as Director of Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus Jammu. He has written many books in Sanskrit and many of his articles have been published in newspapers and magazines. Prof Madan Mohan Jha has also played a distinct role in upliftment of the society by creating a number of Android applications connecting Dev-vani Sanskrit with technology and doing an important task of bringing Sanskrit language and Indian culture to masses,” said Shastri, adding that Prof Madan Mohan Jha will be presented award during a grand function, to be organised soon.
