JAMMU: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Manoj Dhar, on Wednesday released a book on ‘Human Rights in 21st century: Issues & Emerging Trends’ by Dr Monica Narang Sr . Assistant Prof, The Law School.The book covers vast areas with topics concerning environment, climate changes, antimicrobial resistance, inquest into the rights of women prisoners, social media & internet.The book envisages to make assessments of what has been achieved in areas of human rights with the way forward & reflects on contemporary challenges & prospects.Nitan Sharma and Sonam Prasher, research scholars in Law contributed in abundance whilst compiling the book. The Vice Chancellor, Jammu University praised Dr Monica Narang for accomplishing this Herculean task while also applauding the various facets of the book.The programme ended on a note that the book becomes a guidance for students and academicians alike in the subject. Among others Prof. Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu, Prof. Vishav Raksha, Director, Women Studies, University of Jammu, Prof. Satinder Kumar, Director, The Law School, Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Computer Science Deptt, Prof Sanjay Gupta, Deptt of Law, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Dr Seema Rohmetra, The Law School and Dr Shubha Vats, The Law School were also present.
