JAMMU: The preparedness for timely supply of Quality Plant Protection Chemicals in Jammu Division was on Tuesday reviewed here at a meeting chaired by Director Law Enforcement, A. R. Samoon, J&K.Plant Protection Officer, Devinder Sharma; Assistant Director Law Enforcement, Roshan Lal Bhagat; Technical Officer, S. K. Bhan and representatives of the PP Chemical manufacturing units attended the meeting beside others.The Director Law Enforcement instructed the representatives of manufacturing units of Jammu division to ensure the supply of good quality plant protection material to the farmers. The manufacturing units were asked to provide the list of PP Chemical distributers along with product wise quantity of chemicals being sold by them.Samoon stressed on the strict enforcement of quality parameters and asked to resolve various constraints in the supply of high grade agriculture inputs to raise the farm production/ income of the farmers. He further impressed on the Law Enforcement agency for regular lifting and checking of sampling of PP Chemicals from the market to identify spurious pesticides.The Director Law Enforcement further called for strict adherence to norms and laws mentioned in seed/ Fertilizer/ Pesticide Acts while manufacturing and supply of Agri-Inputs for the betterment of farming community.
