JAMMU: Police on Thursday raided City South Registrar Office and seized cash and records.As per details, Janipur Police acting on a complaint regarding bribe for registration of land records, raided office late night and found three Govt officials including a woman and an agent indulged in land registration work. Police has seized the records and Rs 31,000 from spot. Pertinent to mention, the complainant in his complaint to police stated that he gave documents for land registration in the office two months back, after which an agent approached him and asked him to get his work done with help of officials for Rs 6,000 as bribe.
