RAMBAN: As a part of public outreach programme, Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held by Ramban Police, while scrupulously following social distancing norms and other COVID 19 protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SP Ramban P. D Nitya. Addl SP Ramban Rajni Sharma and SDPO Gool Pardeep Kumar were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Sarpanches, Civil Society members and respectable citizens of the area.
During the meeting, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance including acute scarcity of water, lack of road connectivity, erratic power supply, lack of proper accommodation in PP Ind and upgradation of PP Ind as Police Station.
SP Ramban assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. She also exhorted the participants to follow COVID 19 appropriate behaviour and take vaccination.
The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
Later SP Ramban also visited various construction sites in the jurisdiction of PP Ind and PP Sangaldaan, where Railway construction work on the prestigious Udhampur Baramulla Rail Link Project is going on.
She assured all-out support of Ramban Police in the timely execution of this project of National Importance. She further exhorted Construction Companies engaged in Railway Construction works to fully adhere to COVID 19 protocols and get their manpower vaccinated at the earliest.
