JAMMU: A delegation of CWC Jammu of All J&K Plus Two PSC Lecturers Association, led by its Convener Manjeet Chib visited Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma and congratulated him for assuming charge. Extending warm welcome to DSEJ, the delegation discussed various issues and overall educational scenario.
Whole interacting with DSEJ, Chib highlighted some long pending genuine issues of lecturers, especially those concerned with direct recruits and requested him to look into the matter. Chib acquainted DSEJ about role of +2 lecturers in facilitating students during pandemic and organising online classes.
He said that PSC Lecturers Association has been at forefront in implementing the policies and programmes launched by School Education Department. Chib appreciated approach of directorate for taking concrete student oriented initiatives be it developing study material, organising online classes, promoting e-learning and exploring every possible way to facilitate students, so as to compensate academic loss of students.
Manjeet Chib further informed DSEJ that PSC Lecturers Association has been raising their voice against notional effect given to Incharge lecturers at the time of regularisation which is infact against Govt order No. 743 of GAD 2007 and requested DSEJ to examine issue of notional effect besides ensuring service protection of direct recruits. Others issues discussed during the meeting included regularising all officers of School Education Department, initiating measures to end stagnation being faced by +2 cadre, Assured Career Progression (ACP) etc. The DSEJ listened to the delegation patiently and assured early action on highlighted issues.
