Plantation drive conducted at Battalion Hqrs of IRP 16

RAMBAN: IRP 16th Battalion Ramban in continuation to early plantation drives with an endeavour to ensure completely green and biosafe ecosystem at their headquarters in Pernote Ramban, conducted another plantation drive in which 100 different species of plants i.e. Chinar, Deodar, Pine, Chir, Pine etc were planted in the complex.
The programme was organized in collaboration with Kuldeep Singh Divisional Forest Officer, Forest Division Batote who also planted a Chinar sapling in front of Quarter Guard of Battalion complex along with Amit Gupta-SSP, Commandant IRP 16th Battalion.
During the plantation drive, saplings were also planted by various district officers who were invited to participate in the plantation drive; Nisar Ahmad, Executive Engineer, PDD, Ramban; Nazir Ahmad Jaral, Executive Engineer, PHE, Ramban; Maqbool Hussain Choudhary, Executive Engineer, PWD, Ramban; Reyaz Iqbal Tantray-SP, Adjutant IRP 16th Bn; Kishore Kumar Gupta, AEE, PHE Ramban; Munir Ahmad, JE, PHE, Ramban planted the saplings in the Battalion Complex. Kuldeep Singh Divisional Forest Officer, Forest Division Batote and participating officers/officials appreciated the efforts of jawans and other ranks of IRP 16th Battalion in their efforts for ensuring optimum green areas in and around the complex.
