RAJOURI: Press Information Bureau, Jammu in coordination with Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India organized a Webinar today on ‘Covid19 vaccination drive’ in district Rajouri. The webinar focused on the potential acceptance of Covid19 vaccination among the healthcare workers in the district and the progress made in the vaccination drive throughout the district.In her introductory address, Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, PIB, ROB J&K said that the biggest aim of conducting these webinars is to spread awareness among the masses related to the Covid19 vaccination and to clear their doubts if any by interacting with the experts available during the webinar. She also said that ROB J&K and PIB, Jammu have been at the forefront from the very first day of the pandemic spreading a lot of awareness be that the Covid19 appropriate behaviour or this vaccination using social media and other platforms.During the webinar, District Immunization Officer, Rajouri, Dr. Parveen Yograj who was the first to take the Covid19 vaccine in Rajouri district said that the district Rajouri has made a good progress in Covid19 vaccination among the healthcare workers and the percentage is above 70 percent as of today. He emphasised that there is nothing to worry after getting Covid19 vaccine which is safe medically in every respect. He also congratulated the Asha workers of the district whose percentage of getting vaccinated is more than ninety percent.Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri, who was also present in the webinar, said that the healthcare workers who have been vaccinated in the district have developed no symptoms at all which shows that the vaccine is hundred percent safe.Giving an insight into the role played by Regional Outreach Bureau, J&K throughout the pandemic and up to this vaccination, Shahid Mohammad Lone, Filed Publicity Officer, Anantnag said that ROB J&K and all the Field outreach Bureaus of J&K have played a significant role in the information dissemination and have countered the fake news using social media and other platforms.Besides officers of the district, Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur, Khurshid Yousuf, In-charge Field Outreach Bureau, Rajouri, Gurnaam Singh, Field Exhibition Officer, Kathua, Aadil Shameem Andrabi were also present in the webinar.The webinar was moderated by Sheikh Mudasir Amin, Media and Communications Officer, PIB, Jammu.
