UDHAMPUR: Physical Fitness Week began on Tuesday at Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur with participating of children of class 5 in virtual assembly.A healthy and attractive demonstration of yoga was conducted by CCA Coordinator Rakhi Gupta and Fitness coach Pankaj Sharma .The aerobic dance was performed by Rohit Mehra and benefits of aerobics was presented by Kanika Jasrotia.An attractive representation about physical fitness was presented by Rohit Sadotra, PGT Physical education .A gratitude was given to the school and management by Adheera and Preksha, both students of class 5. The program was anchored by Jr Head Girl Sargam and Jr Head boy Rishi.Chief Guest of the occasion was Pro-Vice Chairman of the School, Dr. J.C Gupta while Guests of Honour were Managing Director of the School, Vivek Gupta, Director Academics of the School, Sucheta Gupta.Vandana Sharma Principal JKPS, Jammu, Puneet Kaur, Principal APS, Jammu Cantt, Vijay Puri senior educationist, Manmita Raina DBN Jammu, Rachna Behirajkar, founder Fun2learn were present at the opening ceremony of Fit India Week.The whole event was planned and executed under the guidance of Rakhi Gupta and Saloni Thakur.Sangeeta Nargotra Primary Wing Coordinator spoke about the importance of physical activities for kids.The Principal, Dr. Kunal Anand thanked the management, teachers, students and parents for wholehearted participation. He also mentioned that physical fitness is the need of the hour during the pandemic time.The vote of thanks was presented by Lakhvinder Kaur, Pre Primary Coordinator.
