Physical activities strengthen immune system: Randhawa

JAMMU: Amid ongoing corona pandemic, which attacks people with weak immune system, physical activity keeps your immune system strong. It was stated by former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa, while inaugurating an amusement park at Trikuta Nagar, Sector-2, Ward No-53 in Gandhi Nagar assembly segment in the presence of Corporator Jyoti Devi.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that physical activity is must to immune system strong particularly during ongoing corona pandemic which has claimed millions of lives globally. He said that children and elder people are prone to the corona infection and to keep them healthy it is very imperative to have physical activity.
He said that amusement parks provide children an opportunity to have exercise along with fun. “The children loves to play which keeps them physically fit and this park will provide the same opportunity to the children of the locality”, Randhawa added.
He said that there was no space in the area for the children to play and this park was a long pending demand of the children and local residents of the area which now has been fulfilled. He assured the people that the government is very keen to promote sports across J&K and for this, comprehensive sports projects is being introduced for establishments of sports infrastructure in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He also urged upon people to ensure proper maintenance of the park as it is now their property.
The locals expressed their gratitude to the Corporator and the former MLC for fulfilling their long pending demand.
Those who were present on the occasion include Tarun Sharma, Sham Lal, Sahil Gupta, Varun, Ramesh Chander, Shiv Pal Sharma, Itish Largotra, Manmeet Singh, KD Sharma, Ranbir Singh, Rajinder Sharma, SK Amla, Gopal Krishan, Ganesh Naggar, Jatinder Sharma and Arun Sharma.
