JAMMU: Villagers & relatives of persons killed in Phallian Mandal firing and triple murder case on Wednesday staged outside GMC Jammu and demanded compensation for kids of deceased woman. However, police resorted to mild Lathicharge to disperse protesters.As per case, a constable deployed with security wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday night killed his wife, mother in-law and father-in-law with his service weapon (AK-47 assault rifle) at Phallian Mandal area falling under jurisdiction of Satwari Police Station. As per details, an information was received at Police Post Mandal Phallian that constable Rajinder Kumar alias Ravi, son of Madan Lal, resident of Gajansoo, fired upon his wife and in-laws identified as Seema Devi (wife), Romesh Kumar (father-in-law) and Raj Kumari (mother-in-law) at their home in Allora village of Phallain Mandal with his service weapon. His mother-in-law died on the spot while father-in-law and wife, both succumbed to injuries at GMC Jammu. Acting swiftly, a police with active assistance from locals arrested accused from Gajansoo area. His service weapon along with 51 rounds has also been seized. The couple with two kids was having estranged relations.Today, villagers and relatives of deceased staged protest outside at GMC by halting traffic by parking tractors in mid of road. They alleged that police in place of giving them bodies of victims after postmortem, sent them to house without their knowledge. During protest, they also demanded compensation for kids of victim woman.
