SAMBA:- The residents of Panchayat Ratwana and Surara of Ghagwal Block of District Samba staged protest against Jal Shakti Department on Friday for supplying muddy water. The protest was led by Sarpanchs Madhu Devi and Jasbir Singh of Dou Panchayats at New Water Scheme at Nichla.Alleging the department especially the senior officers, Sarpanch Jasbir Singh said that they are forced to take dirty water since the establishment of this water scheme. But for last 15 days the department is supplying muddy water. People alleged that officers are ignoring their genuine demand to supply safe drinking water.People demanded supply of safe drinking water within days time otherwise they will protest against the administration in a big way. Balkar Singh, Darbari Lal, Sat Paul, Ashwani Kumar, Maan Chand, Ram Dass, Babli Devi, Darshna Devi, Rekha Rani, Pushpa Devi, Naib Sarpanch Surjeet Singh, Vaiao Devi, Sushma Devi, Sapna Devi were among the protestors.
