SAMBA: Over the creation of new assembly constituencies in the Union Territory of J&K, the representatives of Ghagwal sub-division have strongly opposed the creation of Ramgarh of Samba district as a new assembly constituency and adding Rajpura tehsil of Ghagwal block by the Demarcation Commission set up by the Central Government.
In the meeting of public representatives held in the premises of Rajpura temple, a decision was taken that if Rajpura Tehsil is made a part of Ramgarh assembly, then it will be opposed on a large scale.
It was also decided that they will meet BJP’s Organisational Secretary Ashok Koul tomorrow and will apprise him about the matter.
In this regard, these people have scheduled a meeting again at Rajpura on January 30, in which all the Panches and Sarpanches of the area have been called so that further action can be taken.
DDC Ghagwal Suresh Kumar, DDC Rajpura Asha Rani, BDC Chairman Rajpura Radhakrishna, Senior BJP leader Rashpal Verma, President of Dissociation Form Mukerjit Sharma, Sarpanch Suresh Basotra, Sarpanch Devendra Singh, Sarpanch Ramdhan, Sarpanch Anita Chaudhary, Sarpanch Vinay Kumar Sharma, Ex- Sarpanch Dharampal Sharma, Satpal, Rajesh Jasrotia and others were present in the meeting.
