People celebrate Urs of Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz, special prayers held

Bhadarwah: Like many parts of the country, 809th Urs of Hazrat Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Chisti (RA) of Ajmer Sharif (Known as Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz) was also celebrated at Bhadarwah and Kishtwar areas of Chenab region with great enthusiasm and religious fervour. Large number of people participated in special prayers organised by Shah family of Bunastan Kishtwar under the guidance of President Anjuman Tablig-ul-Islam Jammu province Haji Fareed Ahmed Shah. Meanwhile Dar Family of Bhadarwah under the supervision of Khawaja Jamal Din Dar also organized special prayers at Kotli area of Bhadarwah.
It is notable that people of Jammu and Kashmir especially of Chenab Valley have faith and are among the followers of Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Chisti. Every year hundreds of people visit Shrine of Gareeb Nawaz at Ajmer. Prominent among those who participated in the special prayers include Ahmdullah Akhoon (Ameer Majlis), Kh.Jamal Din Dar, Haji Ghulam Nabi Shah, Niyaz Ahmed Dev, Khursheed Ahmed Kichloo, Mansoor Shah, Nisar Ahmed Shah, Mohd Saleem Shah, Mohd Irfan Akhoon, Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh, Qari Manzoor Ahmed, Asger Ali Want, Farooq Ahmed Bagwan, Syed Naseer Ahmed, Tousif Kripak, Haji Mushtaq Ahmed Shah and others.
