PDTA’s Self Defence Camp for girls begins



POONCH: Poonch District Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association on Saturday organized Self Defence Camp of Taekwondo for girls in collaboration with District Administration Poonch and Department of Youth Services and Sports Poonch.
A total of 100 young girls are participating in a specially designed ‘Self Defence and Physical Fitness’ programme at Boys High Secondary Ground Poonch.
The Chief Guest of the opening ceremony was Zamood Ahmed, Manager DIC Poonch While Tariq Mehmood Qureshi AEE PWD was the Guest of Honour.
The chief guest met with all young budding girls who are taking part in the camp. He also congratulated Poonch District Taekwondo Association for this initiative to involve girls in the camp which is the need of the hour.
Tariq Ahmed Qureshi also congratulated District Taekwondo Association for providing excellent platform to involve girls for this fitness and Self Defence camp.
Earlier, Rajinder Singh PET from DYSS, who impart training to girls in this camp, said that the main aim of this camp is to support the Fit India initiative of the Prime Minister, and to strengthen the girls.
Few demonstration of Self Defence were also displayed on the occasion. This camp is supported by Mohd Tanveer PO ICDS. Prominent persons present were Amit Sharma Organising Secretary PDTA and Matinder Pal Singh Hockey Coach.
