KATHUA: A meeting of “District Advisory Committee on Youth Programme” of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kathua was held on Wednesday under the Chairmanship of O.P. Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner Kathua in conference Hall to discuss and finalize Annual Action Plan of NYK Kathua for the year 2020-21 and organize youth developmental programmes in close coordination and collaboration with District Administration, & Development agencies. In the meeting it was briefed that NYK Kathua shall organize Core programmes and Special Focus Areas. Under Core Programmes, NYK Kathua will organize AatamNirbhar Bharat- Youth Mapping, Skilling and handholding, preparation of Booklet on schemes of AtamaNirbhar Bharat, Orientation of Youth, Personal Contact programme and facilitation campaign, Education in Basic Vocations, Digital Felicitation-prepare a cader of Bank Mitras, Career Counseling and Guidance and career Mela, COVID-19 ongoing campaigns and post lockdown interventions, Establishing Disaster Risk Reduction & Preparedness Teams, Youth Led Fit India Movement, Training on Youth on Youth Wellness, Positive Life Style, Block Sports Tournaments, District Sports Tournament, Promotion of Art and Culture, Clean Village-Green Village, Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Training of Youth on JalJagranAbhiyan, Youth Club Development Campaign, Formation of Action plan of Youth Clubs, Observations of Day of National and International importance, National Youth Week, District Youth Convention, Awards to outstanding Youth Clubs etc.O.P. Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman stress upon the building of healthy Youth Clubs Movement in District Kathua so that youth energy canbe channelize in social and national development activities by providing them platform at village level to play active role in village development, employment generation, sports & culture promotion, Panchayat Raj activities, flagship programmes. D.C. also focused on inter-departmental coordination and collaboration with NYK for effective implementation and sustainability of Youth Programmes and make them result oriented with special focus on AtamaNirbhar Bharat.Meeting also attended by Dr. Nodal Officer Health, PO DRDA, LDM, Incharge NCC GDC, Director RSETI, District Information officer, AD handicraft, DYSSO, Secretary Red Cross, JKEDI, Employment etc.
