RAMNAGAR: “Despite repeated attempts by BJP goons to sabotage the polls in District Udhampur, the local administration continued to shelter the criminal elements owing allegiance to the Saffron party for reasons best known. While the NPP workers were harassed, humiliated, attacked, manhandled and abused on several occasions, the BJP hooligans were allowed to go scot free despite repeated complaints against them. And, whereas the Panthers Party workers were booked by the police on frivolous grounds, the BJP leaders and workers were granted immunity despite proven misconduct and criminal conduct on their part. It’s a case of blaming and booking the victims and absolving the criminals in District Udhampur which need due cognizance of Lt. Governor for an early and assumed action against the culprits by breaking the BJP-officers nexus in the district” said Harsh Dev Singh, while addressing a press conference in Udhampur today along with Manju Singh State General Secretary and Son Raj Pratap Singh.Making a mention of today’s episode, Harsh said that Sarpanch Bhugtaran, who was tutored by some BJP leaders prevented him (Harsh Dev), wife Manju Singh and Son Raj Pratap Singh from entering the polling booth. And when he failed in doing so, he hurled filthy abuses upon Manju Singh using highly derogatory language and tried to assault the family. They said Prikshit Singh later admitted that he had abused Manju Singh and used filthy language against her which is duly recorded and video-graphed.Seeking action against the culprit, Singh sought high level probe into the BJP-officers nexus in Udhampur District which was responsible for multifarious attacks on Panthers leaders and workers with none to take cognizance.Seeking action against the Bhugtaran Sarpanch for assault, criminal intimidation and derogatory comments made against her, Manju Singh alleged that the said Sarpanch had been posting filthy and highly profane speeches against her in social media. She said that despite use of highly derogatory words against her, she had chosen to keep mum but the said Sarpanch having crossed all limits, the police needed to act against the notorious criminal and Ex-MLA RS Pathania or else the Mahila wing of Panthers Party would be forced to Gherao the authorities concerned. She said that she was assaulted earlier also by a drunken man who admitted to have been sent by ex-BJP MLA RS Pathania to scare her away during DDC elections for Khoon constituency.Raj Pratap Singh warned the administration to take action against the culprit or else be prepared for the consequences.“No son can tolerate his mother, father and his grandfather being abused in front of his eyes”, maintained Raj Partap Singh.
