NHPC organises panting competition to promote energy conservation


KISHTWAR: Under “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, a painting competition was organized by the Ministry of Power, Government of India & Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for school children from class 05 to class 10 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kishtwar. In this competition, 80 students from Kishtwar and its surrounding area participated to raise awareness about energy conservation.
On the occasion, Rajan Kumar, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu said that NHPC, the nodal agency of Jammu and Kashmir, is organizing painting competition from 01st to 10th December 2021 at various places in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that under Abhay Kumar Singh, CMD NHPC, awareness programme on energy conservation is being organized by NHPC from time to time.
Congratulating students for their participation in the painting competition, Abhay Kumar Singh emphasized that the students should make people aware and spread the message of energy conservation far and wide across all the corners.
Scheduled painting competitions will be organized at various places in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. 1000 students from various schools of UT of J&K are expected to participate in it. In these competitions, a total prize money of Rs. 3.50 lakh will be distributed to the winners. Shri Rajan Kumar appealed for cooperation in such awareness related works.
