NHM employees demand pay revision & job policy

Kishtwar: The National Health Mission (NHM) employees have demanded immediate salary revision along with the job security for them.
While raising the issue Dr Rameshwar Singh Zonal Medical Officer said that the NHM, RNTCP, JKSACS employees are working tirelessly since the inception of the NHM RNTCP JKSACS in J&K and are working in different capacities including that of doctors, paramedics and managerial staff”.
“We have put all the demands before the government several times for early redressal and has also hit roads so many times in order to press for their demands including job security and pay hike but Govt didn’t respond our repeated calls and we are unable to understand that why Govt is not taking any concrete steps in this regard.If our employees are working tirelessly during this critical time (COVID 19) then why our demands are not being redresalled” said Dr Rameshwar
“After we put all demands in front of the Govt then the Government constituted a committee of three top brass officers of Principal Secretary rank and sub-committee of three Directors and Additional sec in 2017 and 2018 to discuss the road map for regularisation of NHM Employees ,in which one the committee in 2017 already forwarded a draft proposal before the Govt through Finance Deptt for approval but till date no further meeting was conducted to discuss the burning issue of regularisation of NHM Dr Rameshwar Singh further added.
Dr Rameshwar Singh Medical Officer said that “the Government of Odisha Arunachal Pradesh,Haryana has already taken an initiative & major step of regularising NHM staff but why Stepmother treat with our employee’s when they are working tirelessly.
Dr Rameshwar Singh has appealed to the LG Manoj Sinha to look into the matter & concerned Advisor, Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education and Mission Director NHM to expedite the resolution of their genuine demand so that justice is served to near about 8000 employees working under NHM, RNTCP JKSACS. He has appealed to LG that the same process should be started in J&K without any delay.
