Need to eliminate menace of drugs from society: Rajan

JAMMU: Sarva Shakti Sena appointed Vijay Trehan as President of Punjab State in a function held at Batala.
Neeraj Sethi, National President Sarv Shakti Sena, Rajan Gupta, President J&K unit , Rajinder Sharma, Raj Vashisht, Avtar Singh Pamma, Jai Sumanakshar, Vaibhav Ahuja and Deepak Gandhi were also graced the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Neeraj Sethi, National President congratulated Trehan on being appointed as President of Punjab State and hoped that he will stand on the aspirations of the Party and will also strengthen the Party base.
Neeraj Sethi also raised serious concern towards the drug menace in Punjab due to thousands are youth became its victim. He said that the Party has initiated nationwide Campaign against drug abuse among youth which has gained traction across the country with an aim to eliminate the menace and to keep the youth away from drugs.
“The problem of drug addiction and alcoholism has severely caught the sections of the younger generation across the country, with some areas seeing its enormous proportions. The campaign by Sarv Shakti Sena aims to spread awareness and eliminate the menace of drug abuse from the entire country,” Sethi added. Vijay Trehan expressed his gratitude to the National Leadership for posing faith in him and assured that he will take all possible in strengthening the party base at grass roots level. He further assured that he will intensify the campaign across the Punjab state and make also aware youth to stay away from drugs and contribute in Nation building. Rajan Gupta also congratulated Sethi for his appointment and held successive governments of Punjab state responsible for the drug menace.
“This menace of drug abuse could only be tackled only after the reasons are known. Our teams will go across country and interact with people as to know of the addicts and will try and rehabilitate and even motivate them to leave the drug abuse and join back the mainstream,” he said.
Gupta underlined the need for regular coordination of all stakeholders for a meaningful contribution to make a difference at ground level.
