JAMMU: An e-Painting and Sketches Exhibition A digital “e-Painting cum Sketch Exhibition” was organized by Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) wherein thirteen artists presented their creations.
Renowned painter, cartoonist, poet and Dogri writer Dr Vijay Puri presided over the proceedings.
Dr Sushil Bhola a nature pathist, painter, poet and writer compered the proceedings and offered his valuable comments on each and every painting cum sketch presented in the exhibition.
Capt Lalit Sharma Convener NDS conceived and planned the event where it was monitored and supervised by Advocate Harish Kaila President NDS and Yash Pal Yash Yash General Secretary NDS.
The participating artists ranging from five years to seventy years of age participated. Artists who participated were Savita Sharma, Deepa Soni Balwal, Urmil Puri Sachdev, Augustaya (9 Years), Ameya Tiwari (5 years) from Singapore, Tia London (12 Years), Arab Tiwari from Singapore ,Suchita Khanna from Faridanad, Sudershan Kumari Darshi ,Raj Rishi Sharma ,Piyush Sapolia from Basohli, Anchal Dass Sajgotra and Dr. Vijay Puri.
Dr Sushil Bhola in his comments said that Indian painting art is oldest and un-parallel in the world and nobody in the world could match our art. Making reference to Ajanta, Allora , temples of South India like Jagan Nath puri temple , Rajasthan and Kangra paintings said that this art is our proud heritage and model of our ancient artistic skills.
He lauded the local works like Basohli paintings and paintings of our ancient forts, Radha Krishan temple at Miransahib and Purani Mandi Jammu temple and many more .He congratulated the participating artists for posting quality and thought provoking paintings and sketches.
Dr Vijay Puri in his Presidential Address lauded the “Online Gallery” initiative of NDS which is unique and first of its type. He endorsed and appreciated the critical appreciation by Dr. Sushil Bhola on each painting cum sketch posted.
He observed that in these ongoing days of stress and agony the artists especially the younger lot should be kept busy in creative and artistic endeavours.
He evaluated the painting of Anchal Dass Sajgotra ,Raj Rishi Sharma Urmil Puri Sachdeva and Suchitra Khanna as the best and educative for the young artists.
In younger lot he observed the painting of Agustaya as impressive in terms of colors selection and creativity.
He complimented budding artists Arab, Tia, Piyush Sapolia, Urmil Puri Sachdeva and little Ameya for their creative and impressive talent . He praised the craft item of Deepa Soni Bhalwal and complimented Savita Sharma and Sudershan Kumari “Darshi”.
He wished that more such programmes of creative art and craft will be organized in future as well Kulbhushan Singh Jamwal a well known name in the Art and Craft extended vote of thanks at the end and described the event a grand success.
