JAMMU: National Cadet Corps (NCC) on Tuesday paid homage to the martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre who lost their lives on this day, i.e., April 13 in 1919. The homage coincides with the ongoing ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ wherein the nation is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Independence.The cadets of NCC of Group Headquarters NCC Jammu under the leadership and guidance of Brig Satish Kumar, Group Commander organised events to remember martyrs who ensured that we live in a free and democratic country.As the remembrance day of Jalianwala Bagh massacre, NCC cadets participated in events at Jammu, Poonch, Udhampur, Samba and Bhaderwah by enacting Nukkad Nataks depicting the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre.Cadets also participated in the Plug Runs organised by all the NCC Battalion under Group HQ NCC Jammu. Cadets through cleanliness messages, banners and talk made the local populace aware about the hazards of the use of plastics to the environment and all living beings.13th April 2021 was a grand day where in more than 800 cadets from Jammu region participated in aforesaid events to celebrates Azadi Ka Amrut Mahautsav.
