National Youth Day celebrated at GDC Kalakote

Kalakote: A community based awareness Programme on COVID 19 was organized by the NSS unit of Govt. Degree College, Kalakote in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club ,wherein students of GDC Kalakote as volunteers , carried out a door to door awareness campaign at various villages of Kalakote.
During the campaign, the volunteers apprised the people about the importance of hand sanitization, social distancing and wearing mask. The campaign was organized by GDC Kalakote,to celebrate the National youth day, which is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda since 1985.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, GDC, Kalakote, Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta appreciated the efforts put in by the NSS Unit and the Red Ribbon Club for celebrating the day with great enthusiasm. He further talked at length about the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and the importance of the same in the present day scenario.
Principal GDC, Kalakote acknowledged the efforts of the Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club and NSS Programme officer, Prof. Sachin Kumar Bhagat and committee members for organizing this programme and making it successful by guiding the students at every step and motivating them to contribute their bit towards the community life during this time of crisis. The programme was attended by Dr. Dinesh Kumar, Dr. Pinkey Rakwal, Prof. Marve Sofi, Prof. Mohd Shakoor, Prof. Sheetal and the Non-teaching staff of the college , Manoj Kumar Sharma, Devinder Singh, Parveen Kumari and Vishavjeet Dutta.
