STATE TIMES NEWS

SRINAGAR: To mark ‘National Unity Day’ (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), pledge taking ceremonies would be organized in the Civil Secretariat at Jammu and by the Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and HoDs of the non-move offices on October 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM in their respective offices.
An official handout issued here on Thursday in this regard said that the Police Headquarters shall also be organizing March Pasts in the evening at Jammu and Srinagar to observe the National Unity Day. It has, however, been decided that the Run for Unity, Which was organized last year, shall not be organized this year, in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Further, the events could be webcast to reach out to the public at large, other modes of technology can also be used to avoid large congregations and for celebrating the occasion in a befitting manner.
