Nagar Kirtan taken out in Kathua



KATHUA: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Kathua organized Nagar Kirtan and Arambh Sri Akhand Path Sahib on Sunday on the holy auspicious occasion of the Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Gobind Singh which will be held on Sunday, 5th of January 2021 (district level) in district Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Kathua (J&K).
In the Nagar Kirtan various bands and children were participated in the procession. The main attraction of the Nagar Kirtan was Gatka Jattha from Amritsar which exhibited the exclusive warfare techniques of sikh religion. Fruits, tea and sweets were served to the participants of Nagar Kirtan.
The Nagar Kirtan passed through Mukharjee Chownk, Parliwand, Bhagat Singh Chownk, Sawan Chak Gurdwara and Shaheedi Chownk. Langar was also organized by the Gurdwara committee of Sawan Chak. Hundreds of people from all walks of life participated in Nagar Kirtan.
S. Charanjit Singh (Distt. President), S. Kuldeep Singh (Secretary), S. Navjot Singh (Gen. Secretary), S. Daljeet Singh (Advisor), S. Amrik Singh (Cashier), S. P.P Singh (manager) were also present in the Nagar Kirtan.
While speaking on the occasion District President Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, S. Charanjit Singh said that the main function will be held on 5th of January, 2021 in which Bhog Sri Akhand Path Sahib, Shabad Kirtan & Lectures will be recited by the renowned Jathas from Punjab and other places. He further said that eminent Parcharaks will throw light on the life and achievements of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj. He also thanked the traffic police, PDD, PHE, Department of health and District administration kathua for their cooperation.
