JAMMU: Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta along with Corporators Dr. Akshay Gupta and Dinesh Gupta visited Exchange Road area and took stock of market conditions with respect to street lights, water supply and cleanliness.
President Exchange Road Shopkeepers Association, Paramjeet Singh along with Secretary General Chamber of Traders Federation, Dinesh Gupta felicitated the dignitaries.
Dinesh Gupta apprised the Mayor of the issues facing the area especially the trading community.
Dinesh demanded replacement of slabs on both sides of the Exchange Road so as to make available wide area for traffic and pedestrians alike. Water cooler point for public was another demand put forth besides street lights and toilets.
Chander Mohan gave a patient to the locals and shopkeepers of the area and issued on spot instructions to his team to look into the issues raised by the shopkeepers.
