UDHAMPUR: Police on Tuesday arrested an accused and recovered snatched money from his possession.
As per details, based on written complaint lodged by Kanta Devi, wife of Bharat Singh, resident of Near Subash Stadium, Udhampur that one miscreant snatched her purse containing mobile phone and Rs 15,000 cash and fled away from the spot, FIR No. 220/2022 under sections 341/323/354/382/201 of IPC was registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Udhampur led by Insp Chaman Gorkha SHO Udhampur, after putting in strenuous efforts, arresting the accused and recovered snatched cash amounting to Rs 15,000 from his possession. The accused was identified as Raghubir Singh, son of Dharam Singh, resident of Narsoo Nallah, Udhampur.
