Man arrested for abortive bid to break ATM

SRINAGAR: Police in Awantipora arrested a person for attempting to break an ATM.
As per details, on December 21, 2020 Police Station Awantipora received a written complaint from Branch Manager Axis Bank Larkipora Padgampora, stating that during intervening night of December 20-21, some unknown burglars attempted to break open ATM of AXIS Bank installed at Larkipora Padgampora. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 192/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Awantipora and investigation was set into motion.
During investigations, a number of suspects were interrogated and after hectic efforts, police arrested the accused, who was identified as Suhail Ahmad Bhat, resident of Padgampora Larkipora. During sustained questioning, he confessed his involvement in the crime. People have appreciated the efforts made by the Police.
