JAMMU: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Jammu, Ghansham Singh on Thursday finalised arrangements for Maha Shivratri festival here at an officers meeting.The meeting was attended by ACR Jammu, SDM, Deputy Director Tourism, Deputy Director FCS&CA, besides other concerned.During the meeting, detailed discussion was held on arrangements including power and water supply, sanitation, security, availability of essentials particularly sugar, flour, rice and LPG etc.The ADC directed the Police Department to make elaborate security arrangements, including deployment of police personnel at temples witnessing rush of devotees.He asked the Traffic department to ensure smooth plying of vehicles besides ensuring smooth conduct of Shobha Yatra along the identified route.It was decided in the meeting that Floriculture Department will beautify the Peerkho Temple, Raghunath Mandir and Ranbireshwar Temple.The Health authorities were asked to make arrangement for ambulance and other medical facilities.Jammu Municipal Corporation was tasked to install lights to give Jammu city a festive look and conduct cleanliness drive around the temples and places of worship. They were asked to make provision of mobile toilets and keep check on unhygienic conditions and use of polythene.
