NOWSHERA: Sarpanch of Border Panchayat Khamba, Sunita Devi, other members and villagers on Saturday demanded upgradation of Government Middle School (GMS) Jhangar to Government High School.Sarpanch, Sunita Devi said that GMS Khamba came into existence in 1952 and despite lapse of 68 years, it has not been upgraded though other Middle Schools and Primary schools in adjoining villages were upgraded by the Government. Students, after qualifying middle standard, have to get admission in High School, which is located far away.Sarpanch Sunita Devi demanded that GMS Jhangar, being the oldest school, be upgraded to Government High School at the earliest and be made functional from new session.
