Dear Editor,I am not a think tank but who like express angush over plight condition of victims who are jailed in different parts of the globe. Unfortunately it has been a custom that people who are the victims themselves are pressured and forced to take the blame of crime on themselves. The court process is often not fair, as those who can afford high price lawyers, get off scot- free while those who are poor and victimised get caught in the case. Almost a major percentage of victims are jailed on the basis of false allegations and misunderstanding between police and victim. There are many cases where there is active evidence that the real culprits are free and innocent people are punished for the acts, which they had not committed. There are many laboratories in different parts of the world which have committed so many mistakes in identifying the real rapists and criminals and have ruined the lives of those innocent people who have never even thought to do so.There should be laws and necessary rules to listen to the victims, analyze and know why and how the accused committed the crime. If he is involved in the case, he must be punished according to the weight of the crime. Killing or imprisoning on the basis of allegations should also be considered as crime All higher authorities and forces should be given orders to understand and know the person well before awarding any sentence. The court should also take action against such brutality and cruelty to stop such acts and support the victims who are not guilty. The victims have the right to be listened to and share their ideas.Mool Raj,Bhagata (Rivera) Panjsoo,Doda.
