From the past also plurality of religion, culture and communal concerns greatly influence secularism in India. Secularism is necessary for India’s integrity and our Armed forces are seen as role model for that. For an Indian soldier, his religion is Indian Army and motherland, where as the religion he belongs to doesn’t matter much to him. Our entire country needs to follow the footsteps of Indian Army and assist in Nation Building. The attendees applauded Army for keeping people friendly and secular approach in the Armed forces.
