Lawyers’ protest demanding open entry in courts continues

JAMMU: The ongoing agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts, demanding open entry in courts continued unabated and completed 93 days on Saturday.
On the occasion, lawyers held a Dharna at Janipura Court complex and raised slogans in support of their demands.
The Lawyers Action Committee has been carrying ahead the agitation since October 15, 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020 and on few other issues.
The protest was attended by advocates J A Kazmi (former vice president Jammu Bar), H C Jalmeria (Convener of Action Committee), S K Anand, C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Rajinder Kumar Chanyal, M L Gupta, Inderjit Abrol, Khilari Lal Kouran, Mohd Usman Slaria (former vice president Jammu Bar), Sabodh Singh Jamwal, J P Sharma, Ashok Misra, Madan Lal, Rakesh Sharma, Kuldip Singh Parihar, Manohar Gupta, Bansi Lal Sharrma, Meharban Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Ashwani Thakur, Kunal Chib, Manohar Lal, S C Sharma, Parvinder Singh, Dharminder Singh, Vir Ranshor, Umesh Sharma, Dinesh Singh Jamwal, Mulkh Raj, Arvind Bandral, Vijay Gupta, Rakesh Dogra, Alisha Kohli, Richa Gupta, S M Wazahat, S Z Ahmed, Azhar Khan, Kamal Mangotra, Sushil Sharma, Sukhvinder Singh, Sanjay Verma, Atul Raina and H Bhatt.
