Lawyers’ protest demanding open entry in courts completes 3 months

JAMMU: The continuous protest of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts, demanding open entry for public and lawyers in courts, completed 91 days (three months) on Thursday. The Lawyers held Dharna in Janipura Court Complex and raised slogans in support of their demands. Pertinent to mention here that Lawyers Action Committee has been carrying ahead the agitation since October 15, 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020.
The protest was attended by advocates J A Kazmi (former vice president), K K Pangotra, H C Jalmeria (Convener of Action Committee), C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), B R Chandan, B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, Vijay Sharma, Rajinder Kumar Chanyal, Mohd Usman Slaria (former Vice President Jammu Bar), Sabodh Singh Jamwal, J P Sharma, Ashok Misra, Manohar Gupta, Jatinder Singh, Baldev Singh, A K Gandotra, Pratima Singh, Kunal Chib, Manohar Lal, Surjit Singh Andotra, Amit Gupta, Abrar Ahmed Khan, Kamal Kishore, Mulkh Raj, Romesh Salhotra, Mehmood A Shaad, Om Parkash Hans, Gagandeep Singh Lucky, Ashish, Meenu Padha and Abha Jamwal.
