JAMMU: The Lawyers Action Committee has decided to hold a meeting with Civil Society, political, social, trade organisations, trade unions, eminent citizens on January 9 on issues of Registration, Consumer Courts and continued suspension of access to citizens in courts for seeking constitutional and legal rights. Meanwhile, agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts completed 79 days on Saturday. Initiated on October 15, 2020, the Lawyers’ agitation entered year 2021 without any resolution of demands projected by Lawyers Action Committee, which is carrying ahead the agitation in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020 and some other issues.The Dharna was attended by advocates J A Kazmi (former vice president), H C Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, Rajinder Kumar Chanyal, B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), M U Slaria (former vice president Jammu Bar), S P Bakshi, S S Chib, Rajinder Singh Raju, Subodh Singh Jamwal, J P Sharma, Bansi Lal Sharma, Rakesh Sharma, Kuldip Singh Parihar, Hakumat Singh, P K Puri, Lalit Kumar Moza, Manohar Gupta, R S Jamwal, P S Pawar, S C Sharma, Jyoti Sarup, Kunal Chib, Manohar Lal, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, V S Saini, Ghara Kumar, Manohar Singh, Narinder Sharma, Ravinder Kumar, Richa Gupta, Meenakshi Slathia, Alisha Kohli, Mulkh Raj, Naresh Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Shamas-ud-Din Shah, Atul Raina, Gagandeep Singh Lucky and Shafiq Choudhary.
