Lawyers’ agitation demanding open entry in courts enters day 83

JAMMU: The ongoing agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts, demanding open entry in courts, completed 83 days on Wednesday. On the occasion, the protesting lawyers held a Dharna in Janipur Courts complex. Pertinent to mention here that Lawyers Action Committee is carrying ahead the agitation since October 15, 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020 and on few other issues.
The advocates who were present during the Dharna included J A Kazmi (former vice president), K K Pangotra, H C Jalmeria Convener of Action Committee, Baldev Singh Slathia (former vice president Jammu Bar), C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, S S Chib, K C Sharma, C M Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Mohd Usman Salaria (former Vice President Jammu Bar), Shah Mod Choudhary, Subodh Singh Jamwal, J P Sharma, Manohar Gupta, Ajay Vaid, K M Bhatti, Vilakshan Singh, Prem Nath Sadhotra (former Secretary Jammu Bar), Kuldip Singh Parihar, Harbans Singh, S C Sharma, Meharban Singh, Kunal Chib, Manohar Lal, Surjit Singh Andotra, Danish Singh Jamwal, Mulakh Raj, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Jyoti Kumar, Sajad Ahmed Salati, S Z Ahmed, Arvind Bandral, Virinder Singh, Gagandeep Singh Lucky and Karan Vir.
