Lawyers’ agitation continues on day 88

JAMMU: The ongoing agitation of lawyers practicing in Jammu wing of J&K High Court and Subordinate Courts, demanding open entry in courts and some other issues, completed 88 days on Monday. The Lawyers held a Dharna in Janipura Court complex and raised slogans in support of their demands, demanding immediate action. The Lawyers Action Committee has been carrying ahead the agitation since October 15, 2020 in protest against continuation of suspension of normal functioning of High Court and Subordinate Courts since March 2020 and on few other issues.
The advocates who participated in the Dharna included J A Kazmi (former vice president), Hari Hartar Singh (former vice president Jammu Bar), H C Jalmeria (Convener of Action Committee), M L Gupta, C S Gupta (Former Secretary Jammu Bar), B R Sharma (Former Vice President Jammu Bar), Vinod Abrol, Vijay Sharma, S P Bakshi, Mohd Usman Slaria (former Vice President Jammu Bar), Shah Mohd Choudhary, Sabodh Singh Jamwal, J P Sharma, Manohar Gupta, Jugal Kishore Gupta, Navneet Dubey, Khalid Mustfa Bhatti, A K Gandotra, S C Sharma, Meharban Singh, Kunal Chib, Manohar Lal, Raghubir Singh, Amit Gupta, Narinder Sharma, P K Puri, Mulakh Raj, Rajiv Kumar Sharma, A Hafeez, Sajjad Hyder Salati, Abdul Majid, Kamal Kishore, R K Dogra, Mandeep Singh, Rajan Radha, Gagandeep Singh Lucky and S Z Ahmed.
