JAMMU: A delegation of Kashmiri migrants under the banner of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Mahasabha (KKHM) led by its Chairman/ President, Ramesh Chander Mahajan met Simrandeep Singh Special Secretary to Govt, Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction (DDMRRC ) at Civil Secretariat Jammu on Monday.The delegation highlighted various long pending genuine issues of Kashmiri migrants who are reeling under pathetic condition. The delegation also handed-over a memorandum to the Secretary for appropriate action.Major issues highlighted in the memorandum included enhancement of monthly cash relief with free medical aid, issuance of Ayushman Bharat (SEHAT) Golden cards and release of monthly pension in favour of old age, disabled, handicapped and widows, disbursement of long pending Mediclaim bills, providing one job to one family member of each migrant family in PM recruitment process, recruitment drive for migrants in all forces and creation of additional 35,000 posts in various departments, release of pending list and sanctioning of loan scheme, compensation of Rs 25 lakh to over-aged youth, empowering competent authorities for evicting illegal occupants and restoration of all properties of KP migrants, conferring pending time bound promotion to migrant employees, installation of Bore-well to ensure pure drinking water supply to migrants providing National scholarship schemes to youth, separate accommodation for large families etc.
