KCSC felicitates Soft Tennis achievers for bringing laurels to J&K

JAMMU: The upcoming Soft Tennis sensation from Jammu Sidhani Singh was among the sportspersons felicitated by K C Sports Club (KCSC) on Thursday for their distinction in the game at various events within and outside Jammu and Kashmir and thus bringing laurels to the Union Territory.
Sidhani Singh achieved a unique distinction in the sport by clinching first ever Medal (bronze) for the UT in a Senior National Soft Tennis Championship held at Srinagar recently.
Acknowledging all its medal winners in the just concluded Senior, Junior, Sub Junior National Soft Tennis Championships at Srinagar and Ahmadabad, Gujarat, the K C Sports Club felicitated them, exuding the confidence the they will leave indelible mark in the sport by dint of their commitment and determination.
The hard work they have been putting and displaying in practice and in-house competitions speaks of the conference they have attained over the hectic sessions, a spokesman of the Club said.
These players participated in the nationals through J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, which is working tirelessly under the supervision of it’s General Secretary, Dr. Gh. Hassan to promote this game in the UT.
Among those felicitated by the KC Sports Club were Antekshika for winning gold in girls single category, Shreemai Bhat and Antekshikha for bagging silver in doubles event and Somanyu Cyrish for clinching bronze medal in the Sub Junior Soft Tennis Championship, thus making entire UT of J&K proud.
This is first time in the history of J&K Soft Tennis that three medals have been clinched in a single tournament and fifth in a row, the spokesman added.
The promising and talented players are being trained by Indu Bhushan Padha, International Player and Coach at K C Sports Club, which is credited with having world class facilities.
The Club placed on record deep appreciation of the management for other players, who performed outstandingly well in these national tournaments. They include Rishabh Koul, Soham Bhat, Shulin Koul, Madhavendra Singh and Hardeep Singh.
The spokesman exuded confidence about the Soft Tennis players being coached in the Club to attain heights in the game at various events at the national level, given their commitment to the sport. The players assured the sponsors that they will give their best in the game and come to their expectations.
