Jugal discusses development projects with NHAI

JAMMU: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament BJP Lok Sabha Jammu Poonch discussed various development projects in Jammu with National Highways Authorities at Jammu and also said to expedite running projects in his Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency.
Jugal said that traffic in Jammu City is increasing day by day and roads in Jammu are observing choking and congestion at many points. He said that to ensure the hassle free movement of traffic and for providing better convenience to the people of Jammu and Kashmir there is dire need for framing new proposals for underpasses, flyovers and crossing over bridges at many locations frequently visit by public in large.
The Member of Parliament said that while entering to the Jammu City Satwari Chowk is observing heavy traffic during peak hours. People plying towards the airport also not able to get their flights in time and even this Chowk also observed Defence movements towards cantonment area. He directed the concerned authorities to frame proposal constructing of flyover from Kunjwani side towards Brig Bikram Singh Chowk and towards Airport.
The Member of Parliament laid stress over the crossing near Chichi Mata Shrine in Samba as a large number of pilgrims visit Chichi Mata Shrine and even stay there for sometimes.
He said that Light Vehicular Underpass should be constructed at the earnest to ensure the safe movement of people and locals visiting the holy shrine.
Jugal said that Mansar Morh is the Prime Spot which observes heavy truck movement and opposite to the Government Degree College Samba. It is very important for the students and the local residents to Construct Vehicular Underpass at Mansar Morh Samba for safely crossing of traffic and pedestrians. He also discussed the construction work of Ring Road which is under progress that it should be completed in time so as ensure the hassle free interstate movement of heavy vehicles.
Jugal further added that after the formation of Bhartiya Janata Party’s government in Centre under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the City of Jammu is enlisted among the developing cities and moving ahead towards Smart City.
