Jammu: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu has been awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award for the first time in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.
The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education.
Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life work in today’s world.
It is pertinent to mention that the school has been accredited with this award with flying colours as we have received 100 per cent score in all the activities.
The award was accredited by The British Council which is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. British Council works with over 100 countries in the fields of arts and culture, English language, education and civil society
Rohini Aima, Principal-Cum-Vice-Chairperson of the school, congratulated Munmun Kohli ISA coordinator and all the stakeholders and asserted that “Our school aims to nurture global citizens for tomorrow’s collaborative work culture.
We place a high focus on the international dimension to the school’s learning journey. Our international links, school projects and the teaching of English throughout the school enable the children to learn more about the world they will later travel to, work in and look after. We are delighted the school has been recognized for its commitment to internationalism.”
