JAMMU: Jammu Province Peoples Forum (JPPF) an amalgam of social, commercial, and other organisations, a strong voice of Dogras and a common platform of all civil society members to raise a united voice for welfare of Jammu people, celebrated ‘175th Foundation/ Raising Day’ of Jammu & Kashmir by organising a programme at Dogra Sadar Sabha, Dogra Hall, Jammu. A large number of people from different organisations participated in the event.Paviter Singh, while addressing participants, said that since inception of the erstwhile J&K state no one bothered to celebrate this historic day of importance. “We are astonished to see that public has almost forgotten that when and how this beautiful state came into existence, even the Government also never bothered to organize a function on this historic day for the reasons best known to them. JPPF started celebrating this day since last six years i.e., 2015 and trying to bring awareness among the masses about the formation of Jammu and Kashmir State,” he added.On the occasion, JPPF honoured various personalities including Balwan Singh, who is heading JPPF Udhampur, on being elected as Block Development Chairman Udhampur; newly constituted teams of CCI Jammu under Presidentship of Arun Gupta, Members of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha and Megh Sudhar Sabha under leadership of Narinder Dutt.Others present on the occasion included G S Charak, K B Jandial, Neeraj Anand, Balwan Singh, Rajdev Singh, M S Katoch, Inderjit Khajuria, Avinash Bhatia, M L Sharma, Resham Singh, Rajiv Mahajan, Pritam Sharma, Balwan Singh, Pawan Sharma, Prof O P Sharma, Sardar Ajit Singh Adyal, Sunita Sharma, Kamla Sharma, Prabha Slathia, Rajinder Singh, Ajay Singh, Amit Sharma, Surinder Veer, Sardar Gurmit Singh and Naresh Thapar.
